Prenatal Parenting Classes

It’s easy and normal for expectant parents to focus on prenatal care and the impending birth—but that’s only just the beginning and it’s equally important to prepare for what life will be like with your newborn.

During our prenatal parenting class, Dr. Child will work with you to develop skills and glean important knowledge that will help you navigate the early days with your newborn child and build a foundation for healthy parenting into the future.

Class Goals:

The aim of this class is to present expectant parents with the opportunity to think about and plan for the care of their baby—after the birth—while easing fears and concerns in a candid, supportive environment. Topics include (but are not limited to):

  • The first week of life
  • Breastfeeding
  • Common illnesses
  • When to see a doctor

Class Format:

This class is taught with a focus on discussion and dialogue, in order to allow parents to engage and ask any questions they may have.
